Power: 1 HP = 0,746 kW. Speed: at 60 Hz the synchronous speed is 7.200 divided by the poles: 2 poles 3.600 rpm, 4 poles 1.800, 6 poles 1.200, 8 poles 900. The nameplate speed is a little lower (the slip), so 1.750 rpm means 4 poles.

Also note the voltage set (for example 220/440 V), the frame, the mounting (B3 feet, B5 flange, B14 face flange, B35 feet and flange) and the protection (IP55).

The replacement check compares the motor fitted with one offered: speed, power, voltage, mounting, frame and protection. It flags a mismatch; it is not an engineering check.

Nameplate data only: the app never says a motor complies with the RETIE (the Colombian electrical installations regulation) or carries a certificate. Engineering decisions in Colombia are made by registered engineers (Ley 842 de 2003).
