Questions
Questionspeople ask
Short answers about stock, requests, decoded designations and what stays on the phone.
Does IMCI keep these parts in stock?
The app does not say so. The families on your shelf are what you track. IMCI answers each request with what it can supply, from stock or to order.
Is a request an order?
No. It is a request for quotation. IMCI replies with what it can supply, the price and the date; nothing is bought until you confirm its quotation.
Are the decoded details an engineering specification?
No. They are your own reading of the designation from generic ISO and ANSI rules, for discussion with IMCI. Engineering work in Colombia is done by registered engineers (Ley 842 de 2003).
Where do the lead times come from?
They are your estimates until IMCI confirms them. Change them per spare, or the defaults in Settings.
Can I accept equivalent parts?
Yes, line by line. The request says for each line whether an equivalent designation is accepted or only that one.
Who sees my counts?
Nobody: counts, bins, stock and the names of who counted stay on your phone. A request carries only its lines, the date and the contact you add.
Request for quotation
Ask IMCIfor a quotation
The app sends one request with exact designations, quantities, equivalents and the need-by date. Call or write to ask which parts IMCI Componentes Industriales can supply, the price and the delivery time.
