Ball bearingdesignations

The app reads deep-groove ball bearings of the 60, 62, 63 and 64 series. The first two digits are the series: for the same bore, the outer diameter and the width grow from 60 (extra light) to 64 (heavy).

The next two digits are the bore code: 00 is a 10 mm bore, 01 is 12 mm, 02 is 15 mm, 03 is 17 mm, and from 04 to 96 the code times 5 gives the bore in millimetres. So 6205 has a 25 mm bore. One digit (608) or a slash (62/22) gives the bore directly.

Generic suffixes: 2RS rubber seals on both sides, RS one seal, 2Z or ZZ metal shields on both sides, Z one shield, N a snap-ring groove, NR the groove with its ring, C3 more internal clearance than normal (C4 more again, C2 less).

Makers add their own letters and digits. The app keeps them as typed and does not guess: give IMCI the full marking and say whether an equivalent is acceptable.

The app holds no dimension table: read the outer diameter and width on the bearing, or ask IMCI.
